Don’t Miss the Best Pizza in Boise [2023]
Not only do we love to travel, we love to eat out as a family. Luckily, our hometown, Boise, ID, is a foodie’s paradise and just getting better each year. Like most families with young kids, our favorite restaurants usually have a very kid friendly staple on the menu: pizza. But don’t be fooled: our list of the best pizza in Boise is sure to satisfy adults and kids alike!
how Did we pick the best pizza in boise?
Everyone loves a different style of pizza, my favorite is definitely Napoletana style! I wanted our list to check all of the boxes so you’ll find Detroit style, Neapolitan pizza, and more traditional take out options on our list. We looked for a few things when making our list of favorite restaurants: consistently delicious food, great services, and fresh ingredients.
1: The Wylder
No list of the best pizza restaurants in Boise would be complete without including one of our favorite places, the Wylder. This was an easy pick not only for our best places list, but for our top spot. The Wylder serves up great pizza from their wood-fired oven in addition to giant salads, delicious appetizers and sandwiches, and my kid’s favorite ice cream and cookies. Our favorite pizzas here are two white pizzas. The first is the Honey Badger which is ricotta cheese mixed with spicy honey and sausage. We pair that with the Gem State, another white pizza covered in fingerling potatoes and rosemary. Not all of their pizzas are so exotic, we typically get a traditional pepperoni red pizza for the kids.
The Wylder has a large patio that spans the side of the restaurant so you can enjoy your delicious food outdoors. Be warned, the Wylder is a popular spot so you are sure to experience a wait if you swing by during prime lunch or dinner hours. You can order takeout on their website but depending on the season that is only available during the weekdays. Luckily for us Boise locals, they are building a second location!
In addition to the best pizza, the Wylder has amazing service. At one of our first of many dinners here our pizza came out with a small hole in it so they surprised us with a free pizza!

Even better you can create your own with their delicious ingredients. That’s always a plus when you are eating out with picky kids! Their thin crust pizzas are some of the best pizzas in Boise. Don’t miss this one!
How do you know Tony’s Pizzeria Teatro is good? After I had given birth to our son, I made my husband get their pizza take-out for the two days I was in the hospital. If that’s not a strong endorsement, I don’t know what is!
